Gillingham Arts Workshop have been at the forefront of amateur drama in the North Dorset town of Gillingham for over 25 Years.  Originally staging pantomimes and full length plays in Gillingham School hall, the  group now perform in a variety of venues, performing drama and music.

The group regularly performs carols with seasonal readings, and a Mummer's Play, at Christmas.

The group rehearses in a variety of places - in peoples houses or in the rooms of Gillingham Town Hall.  Without a "home" the group is happy to perform wherever they can.  The Christmas Concerts have been presented in the residential care homes in the local area.
